Who We Are?
Blkgradstudent, was started by Demetri Wilright. It initially started as a blog where he shared his journey pursuing his master’s degree in 2020. After graduating, he realized he was creating a platform to share career advice with others. Since 2020 he has been mentoring various people with a high rate of success leading to the Blkgradstudent you see today.
Why Do This?
Demetri is a Senior Customer Engineering Manager at Microsoft, but he stumbled his way into becoming a high performer. Upon looking back at his 10-year career, he’s been able to see the steps that allowed him to be where he is today. Over the past 5 years, he’s mentored various individuals and seen strong results. Often his mentees calling out he’s able to break scenarios down into simple steps that are easily applicable.
Realizing this as a strength, he created Blkgradstudent as a way to accelerate growth in others. For this reason, pricing for Blkgradstudent is kept low to make sure it is affordable by everyone. This was done with the belief that everyone has the potential to become a high performer!
